Stop being distracted! The media and social media are killing us.

As we were doing some retail visits with a client including visiting a large Department Store, we saw several sales executives with a 100% focus on their mobile phones.

Why is that happening?
Is it really benefitting the business, the individual and the clients? We do not think so.

George Orwell told us that Big Brother is watching us.
He was half right as today, Big Brother and specifically the media and social media are making us all be so much distracted that we cannot see a customer coming in the store.

We are so focused on our phone that the "hello" is NOT followed by an eye contact between the staff and the visitors in store!

Apart from being distracted, the media is pushing too often negative stories which they know will capture our attention unlike positive and joyful stories.
The media will also have its own agenda and with well crafted propaganda can make you do or not do something.

See how a propaganda well delivered can get you to see a reality which is not real.
Just ask the Russians how they see the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

We need to regain our intellectual freedom. Freedom to think on our own.
Learn how to switch off the media and social media in particular.
You will gain more free time and you will be more productive. You will improve critical and creative thinking!
